In 2013 Dekro Paints was approached to supply a specification for the external and internal redecoration of the Gihon Building. The building was previously coated in 2010 and efflorescence bleeding through the paint was visible. Severe hairline cracks were prominent across the facades of the building.
As this building is situated across Tygervalley Centre they required a coating that would not only uplift the current aesthetics of the building but also prevent water ingress into the substrate. We recommended Dekro Superfibretex which is an acrylic co-polymer emulsion with outstanding durability and waterproofing properties, designed to cover hairline cracks and crazed plaster.
