Dekro Winter Projects

Dekro Paints is providing decorative coatings to Indawo Painters refurbishing the roof structures of the City Hall in Cape Town. The City Hall which was built in 1905. is located on the Grand Parade to the west of the Castle and is built from honey-coloured limestone imported from Bath in England. The copper domes and flashings were primed with Hydrolock Primer before overcoating.

 

Due to the close proximity to the ocean, the fire sprinkler pipes at Horizon Bay was coated with Rust Rite. Rust Rite is direct to metal coating and due to its quick drying attributes can be overcoated after 30 min to limit surface contamination from salt spray. Areas, where the galvanising has been compromised, was pretreated with a single etch primer, Vasbyt and completed by Skai Projects

 

Dekro Paints is a preferred supplier of many wineries and cellars due to its wide variety of approved coatings. The dispatch and loading areas at JC le Roux was completed by Paintmaster. Areas, where rising damp is prevalent, was coated with a permeating coating, Masonry Paint and the remaining wall surfaces with Hydro Silk our adhesion promoted pure acrylic. All surfaces have been pre-treated for mould growth with our Hydrowash Antifungal.

 

Dekro Paints assisted Meerlust Bosbou in Simondium with a supply of our Polyurethane floor coat to recoat their concrete floors in the function hall. Polyurethane floor coat is ready to use quick-drying glossy enamel, designed for application to various substrates, (new and old), and based on a Urethane Alkyd binder.  Designed to give a hard-wearing glossy coating over new or previously painted surfaces.  Polyurethane floor coat Is hard-wearing and easy to clean, Is easy to repaint at any stage of life when recoating becomes necessary. It prevents the disintegration of cement based floors.
