In Langebaan dry dock the catamaran Incognito is being refurbished with Dekro Paints marine coatings.

The base coat is Bannoh 500 R – Tar free, epoxy anti-corrosive primer, based on pure epoxy resin and pigmentation.

The top coats are Marine Star 30G – self polishing type synthetic resin anti-fouling paint. Dekro Paints manufacture under license as Chugoku Marine Paints.

Vessel Blouberg is a general cargo ship built in 1957 and currently sailing under the flag of South Africa. Her gross tonnage is 141 tons and is used for ferrying guests across to Robben Island Museum on a daily schedule.

Currently the ferry runs three times a day, 09h00, 11h00 and 13h00 and departs from the Nelson Mandela Gateway at the V & A Waterfront. The tour takes 3.5 hours including the ferry trip to and from the Island.

Dekro Paints is supplying and monitoring the application of our marine coatings to this vessel

The vessel was primed with Umeguard SX and top coated with Seagrandprix 660 HS and Unymarine respectively.

Seagrandprix 660 HS is a tin free anti-fouling paint with self-polishing action in service and long protection against marine organisms. The specific vehicle composition provides an advanced fusion technology during operation, resulting in long lasting anti-fouling performance. IMO Anti-fouling System convention compliant (AFS/CONF/26).
