Hydromed Matt

• Hydromed Matt is a tough and highly durable, matt finish, plastics based, decorative coating which protects against the growth of micro-organisms such as mould, fungi, yeasts and bacteria on its surface. Its antimicrobial system does not leach out, unlike those of traditional fungicidal paints, and it therefore remains safe and active throughout the life of the product.
• Hydromed Matt is highly elastomeric – expanding and contracting with thermal movements of the substrate and has a vapour permeable structure which allows damp substrates to dry out without causing blistering or loss of adhesion.
• Hydromed Matt is water based and is free from phenols,mercurials, arsenic, and toxic heavy metal complexes.
• Hydromed Matt is ideal for use on ceilings and both internal and external walls, and may be reinforced with chopped strand matt for additional strength and durability. It can also be applied to vessels, tanks and associated equipment, and where positive pressure is essential such as fruit storage, hospitals, wine cellars and food manufacturing plants. It produces a hard wearing membrane that will tolerate harsh cleaning agents and other chemicals, and allows building owners to comply with even the most stringent hygiene related legislation.
