Product Description
In South Africa, with its harsh climate of high/low temperatures, hot/dry climate and high levels of UV, varnishes on exterior timber have never been successful. Normal wood coatings form a non-permeable hard coating which cracks due to expansion and contraction and will not allow the wood to breathe.
- Timbertek has been formulated on a special siliconised alkyd resin which gives high UV resistance, excellent non-chalking exterior weatherbility but also, due to its unique formula, allows the coating great permeability properties which allows the film to breath and let out moisture but not allow water in.
- Timbertek also contains special pigments to absorb harsh UV rays giving long lasting rich colours, which assist in protecting the wood.
