How to prepare and paint Rubber & Roads

Rubber

When applying paint to a rubber surface it is recommended that a test patch first be applied to assess the suitability of the paint.

Preparation
Wash down to remove dust, oil and grease.

Roads & Signs

Paint is used extensively for marking road surfaces, kerbs and road signs, as an aid to order and safety.

Preparation

  • Bitumen or concrete roads must be dry.
  • Sweep to remove all dust, loose dirt and gravel.
Store paints in a cool area out of direct sunlight. Some types of coatings build up gases in the can and could explode if not stored in a cool place.
